About the WANPQ: What is the WANP? A: The WANP is the professional association for Naturopathic Physicians (NDs) in the State of Washington, incorporated in 1934. WANP is a non-profit entity, supported and funded through annual dues paid by its members. Q: How is the WANP governed? A: The WANP membership elects a board of directors who develop and administer policies that guide the association. Board members are NDs who are professional members for the association who volunteer and serve for two year terms. Currently, the association hires an Executive Director for administration functions and to represent the profession in the community. Q: How are board members selected? A: Individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors are nominated by members of the board annually, with an election by the general membership in mid-summer. If you would like to be placed on the ballot for a board position, contact any board member and ask them to nominate you. Q: Are there opportunities to participate other than the Board of Directors? A: Yes. Committees often need help to accomplish their ongoing projects. Contact the chair of a committee that you are interested in working with or contact the WANP office at 206-547-2130. Committee chairs are listed here.
